Can You Help Me Reach 20 Reviews on Amazon?

One Step at a Time has been out in the world for about a week now, and I’m honestly overwhelmed by the positive response so far. Seeing the book in your hands, hearing from early readers, and knowing that this story is starting to find its people—it means more to me than I can put into words. Thank you to everyone who has purchased a copy, shared a photo, or started reading. I know many of you are already deep into the trail with Pam and I, and I can’t wait to hear what you think.

I’ve been thinking a lot about how important the first wave of readers really is. You’re the foundation of this book’s journey—the “proof of concept.” I can love this book all I want (and I really do), but at the end of the day, what matters most is how it lands with you.

That’s why I want to make one humble request:

If you enjoyed the book, would you consider leaving a review on Amazon?

My goal is to reach 20 reviews to start—though I’d be thrilled to see the number climb higher. Here’s why your review matters so much:

Reviews help Amazon show the book to more readers.
Amazon’s algorithms are heavily influenced by early reviews. Positive reader feedback is one of the biggest factors in whether a book gets recommended, ranked, or even simply noticed.

Reviews also help the book travel beyond Amazon.
While Amazon is where I’m launching, I fully intend to take this book wider—to bookstores, libraries, outdoor retailers, and wherever trail stories belong. The more reviews the book has, the easier it becomes to show those places that real readers are connecting with it.

Reviews give me confidence to pitch the story to media.
Newspapers, magazines, podcasts, blogs—they all want to know that a book has momentum. Your reviews give me a reason to reach out and say, “This book is resonating. It’s worth talking about.”

If you’ve already left a review, thank you. If you’re planning to, thank you in advance. And if you’re still reading—enjoy the journey. I’m so grateful you’re walking this trail with us.

Thanks,

Kevin
